Master of Public Health Study Program

VISION

Based on the vision and mission in the Hasanuddin University Strategic Plan and the Strategic Plan of the Faculty of Public Health, the Public Health master’s study program states the vision “To become a superior Public Health Science Master’s Study Program with international standards based on the Indonesian Maritime Continent in 2024 IA”. This vision is an effort to translate the vision of the Faculty of Public Health, namely “To become a superior and international standard Faculty of Public Health based on the Indonesian Maritime Continent in 2024 IA”, which is also expected to be in line with the achievement of Hasanuddin University’s vision, namely “To become a superior and innovative university based on the Indonesian Maritime Continent”.

MISION

As an effort to achieve the vision of the study program, the mission of the master’s study program in Public Health Sciences, namely the Program Mission in short, is to provide superior, reliable and competitive master’s education in studying public health problems through research, community service and international networking to be achieved by 2020

  • Organizing master’s education for the development of superior and competitive public health science and technology in the study of global public health problems, based on BMI.
  • Carrying out studies through research by lecturers and students who can develop concepts, methods and strategies to help understand and solve global, national and local health problems based on BMI.
  • Organizing systematic efforts through community service programs by lecturers, field practice and student benchmarking as a department of research recommendations, using public health science and technology in a professional manner at national and local levels based on BMI.
  • Organizing a collaborative network with various countries and international institutions for joint research and community service, and increasing cooperation in exchange of lecturers and students between universities at the Southeast Asian level in order to achieve the quality standards expected in the vision statement.

GOALS

The aim of the Study Program is to produce Master of Public Health Science graduates who have competence as professional health workers at level seven of the Indonesian National Standards for Science and Technology (KKNI), supported by scientific morals in understanding and being able to apply Public Health science to develop health programs independently.

  1. Produce masters who master the theories and concepts of public health science broadly and in depth, so that they are able to study and understand health problems comprehensively,
  2. Produce masters in Public Health who are able to apply health science to help solve problems and recommend health solutions.
  3. Produce masters who are able to develop methods and strategies in health programs
  4. Produce masters who have the ability to strengthen management and good organizational governance characterized by professionalism, as well
  5. Produce masters of public health science who have the ability to work together in interdisciplinary teams for programs, and are responsible for the results of their work.
